Employee of the Month: Audra Ellis

Audra Ellis is the Outreach Specialist for MiCAFE (Michigan’s Coordinated Access to Food for the Elderly).  MiCAFE provides benefit application assistance to seniors over 60.  Its focus is on food assistance programs, helping their get the food they need to making ends meet.

One of the most rewarding parts of Audra’s job is when she meets seniors who are in desperate straits and can help them get the assistance they need; her understanding of the complex needs of seniors as a result of working at Elder Law of Michigan since 2008 makes her a definite asset to everyone involved.

Audra reaches out to other organizations about the many services we offer at Elder Law of Michigan for seniors so we can help more people.  She also coordinates office activities such as the Clothing and Food Drive, where as a team we donated 130 bags of clothing to EVE (End Violent Encounters).

In her free time, Audra enjoys working out, redecorating her home and spending time with her boyfriend, Aaron.  She has a beagle, Gus, and her three cats Pearl, Vivian and Oliver.

She loves working at Elder Law of Michigan and describes it as “working with family and hanging out with my friends.”  We are so grateful that Audra is part of our team and are proud to feature her as our Employee of the Month.
