Since 1990, Elder Law of Michigan’s Legal Hotline for Michigan Seniors has counseled thousands of older people about the decisions and issues following the death of a close friend of family member. We recognize that clear written information exploring the connections between grief and legal decisions that follow the death of loved ones would be helpful. “After the Loss of a Loved One: A Guide to Legal and Emotional Concerns” was created to address these issues associated with grief  and provide some basic information and guidance on how to cope.
