Meet the Team, Staff Spotlight: Jadranko Tomic-Bobas

Jadranko Tomic-BobasJadranko Tomic-Bobas is the Managing Hotline Attorney for Elder Law of Michigan. Jadranko (Jay) has been with Elder Law of Michigan since 2011. He was born in a small rural town in Bosnia. Later, he moved to Germany and then immigrated to the United States in 1999. Since then, he has lived in the Lansing, Michigan area. He graduated from Michigan State University where he received both his Bachelors and Juris Doctorate degree. As an attorney, Jay is very passionate and loves working with both clients and interns daily.

Q: Before working at Elder Law of Michigan, what was the most unusual or interesting job you have ever had?

A: I worked for Clean Water Action.

Q: What has been your most favorite project at Elder Law of Michigan?

A: The Estate Planning Clinic.

Q: What advice would you give to recent new hires?

A: I would tell them to come to work with an open mind and ready to learn.

Q: What is your favorite line from a movie?

A: My favorite line is from the Terminator, “I’ll Be Back.”

Q: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

A: I would like to see Gerald Butler cast as me.

Q: What is on your bucket list?

A: My goal is to visit every continent in the world.

Q: What is your hidden talent?

A: Many people may not know that I love to play soccer and participate in other athletic activities.

Q: How would you describe your day job to a child?

A: I would tell a child that I basically speak to people all day.

Q: Describe what you were like at age 10.

A: I am the oldest of three boys and can be described as “Dennis the Menace” as a child.

Q: What is your least favorite food?

A: Brussel sprouts.

Q: Which cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with?

A: Sterling Archer.

Q: What was the best vacation you have been to?

A: My honeymoon in Antigua.
