Staff Spotlight – Karen Flores

It is my pleasure to tell you about one of our part-time attorneys, Karen Flores. Karen works on both the Mid-America Pension Rights Project and on the Legal Hotline for Michigan Seniors. Karen has been working for Elder Law of Michigan, Inc. (ELM) since 2013. Karen is dedicated to helping clients and to ELM’s mission.

Karen has assisted over 2,000 clients on the hotline. Karen previously worked on the legal hotline, then known as the Legal Hotline for Older Michiganians, from 1995 through 1998, before returning in 2013. As she did previously, Karen advises seniors regarding their legal issues. Karen is very compassionate towards her clients, always going the extra mile on their behalf. Karen’s clients praise her as being exceptionally courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and very nice.

Working on the Mid-America Pension Rights Project, Karen assists clients with all things pension and has helped over 85 clients. Karen has made a tremendous impact on her client’s lives by either recovering their pension benefit or by obtaining answers that they were unable to achieve without her assistance.
