Staff Spotlight – Daryl Thompson

This month I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to write about one of our attorneys, Daryl Thompson. Daryl joined the Elder Law of Michigan, Inc. (ELM) team in January of 2015. Daryl is an alumnus of Michigan State University Law School and graduated magna cum laude.

Daryl works within two programs at ELM, the Legal Hotline for Michigan Seniors and the Housing Rights Center of Michigan (HRCMI). As part of the Legal Hotline, Daryl assists seniors by providing them with legal advice in over 30 areas of law. Daryl also counsels clients through HRCMI who are dealing with foreclosures on their homes. Since joining ELM, Daryl has assisted approximately 600 hotline clients and over 80 housing clients! Because ELM provides eligible clients with these services for no charge, without Daryl’s help some would have no place to turn.

Also, Daryl is always happy to lend a helping hand to his colleagues and is dedicated to ELM’s mission. Daryl is hardworking, diligent, compassionate, and knowledgeable. ELM is very fortunate to have Daryl as a staff member. Thanks Daryl, we appreciate your commitment and all that you do for ELM.
