Lindsay joined Elder Law of Michigan in January 2011 and is the Director of Economic Security. Her job includes managing programs like MiCAFE (Michigan’s Coordinated Access to Food for the Elderly), which helps connect seniors with food assistance and other benefits.
You can find Lindsay out in the community giving presentations to organizations to familiarize them with the breadth of services offered to seniors through Elder Law of Michigan. Lindsay is also responsible for training MiCAFE Application Assistants, who help low-income seniors apply for the benefits that they need. Because of the dedication of Lindsay and her staff, Elder Law operates the MiCAFE program in 34 counties in partnership with over 200 community-based organizations and 250 trained MiCAFE Application Assistants.
Lindsay enjoys the wide variety of opportunities that her position offers as well as the rewards of helping people put food on the table while making ends meet. Her co-workers describe her as well organized, efficient and kind.
In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her boyfriend; her family; and her two dogs, Norm, who is a German Shorthair, and Bob, an American Bulldog Pitbull Mix.
