On January 13th and 15th the Elder Law of Michigan’s Senior Advisory Council convened via conference call to discuss how Elder Law of Michigan can build an ongoing relationship with clients. The Senior Advisory Council suggested different ways to communicate and engage with clients including how to connect with past clients and isolated seniors who are in need of services. The Senior Advisory Council also recommended partnering with trusted community groups and organizations during outreach efforts.
Elder Law of Michigan established the Senior Advisory Council to bring together a mix of older adults and professionals across Michigan to provide insight on issues of concern to older adults from a variety of local communities and recommendations to Elder Law of Michigan. The next council call in March will focus on reviewing marketing and outreach materials. The Senior Advisory Council convenes quarterly to provide feedback, recommendations, and insight for Elder Law of Michigan services and upcoming projects.
