TN Dept. of Commerce and Insurance Warns of Pension Scams

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance is warning Tennesseans about a pension scam.

According to the TDCI, the scam involves alleged “investors” who say they will provide cash advances to those willing to turn over future pension payments in exchange for immediate lump sum cash payments.

The TDCI says before making any decisions with your pension funds, residents should do their homework and contact the Securities Division at 1-800-863-9117.
