Before working at Elder Law of Michigan, the most interesting job she had was working for a local veterinarian office in California. At that office, she learned to drive on the clinic’s beloved “yellow bird” car, which was a 1977 Toyota Celica GT Liftback with standard transmission.
The top ten books she recommends anyone to read are (in no particular order):
- Don Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes
- The Power of One, by Bryce Courtenay
- Native Son, by Richard Wright
- One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
- The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini
- The Famished Road, by Ben Okri
- The Idiot, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
- The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, by Carson McCullers
- The Fire Next Time, by James Baldwin
- The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho
