How did you first learn about Elder Law of Michigan?

I had an in-law who worked at Elder Law of Michigan and she told me about a job opening in the MICAFE Network.

How do you balance your career at Elder Law of Michigan and your family?

Elder Law of Michigan is very accommodating. I’m able to come in early and start my day, so I can leave early to tend to my three girls. I’m always running them to sports, school events, and their friends’ houses.

If you could switch jobs with anyone else at Elder Law of Michigan, whose job would you want?

Given the chance to switch jobs with anyone in our organization, I would switch with one of our attorneys. I’d like to hear what questions the seniors have and the challenges they might be facing. I think it would be very rewarding to know that advice I could give might help them out.

Before working at Elder Law of Michigan, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I’ve only had two other jobs besides working at Elder Law of Michigan. I’d say both were interesting. My first job I worked at Target doing a variety of tasks. While I was there, I traveled to New York for a few weeks to help open a new store. My second job was Cole Rehabilitation Technologies. We specialized in custom wheelchairs and seating systems. It was interesting to learn about equipment that exists to help a person with disabilities live a more independent life. It was very rewarding.

What advice would you give to recent new hires?

Elder Law of Michigan is a great place to work and everyone is welcoming.

What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

I went to Antigua for a friend’s wedding.
