The Joe D. Sutton Call to Justice Awards honor those that share the mission of Elder Law of Michigan, Inc. to advocate for, educate, and assist those in need, with a continued focus on older adults and persons with disabilities.
On August 7, 2019, Elder Law of Michigan honored four individuals and one organization at the Mid-Michigan Call to Justice Awards event held at UrbanBeat in Lansing, Michigan. The Call to Justice Awards reception included a cocktail hour featuring hors-d’oeuvres and cash bar, followed by an awards ceremony celebrating our distinguished honorees.
Gary Bauer – Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clinic
Mary Ablan – State Director (Retired), AAA Association
Joan IIardo, – MSW, PhD, Director of Research Initiatives – MSU
Kate B. White – Executive Director, Michigan Community Action
Delta Township District Library
I find great pleasure in attending these award ceremonies that celebrate the accomplishments of the honorees. The honorees are always humbled by the recognition they receive for following their passion and serving the most vulnerable in the community. Witnessing the camaraderie between the attendees as they congratulate one another and even network is remarkable. I encourage everyone to attend the Call to Justice Awards if they are able.
Elder Law of Michigan would like to thank all the honorees for their hard work and dedication to making a difference in the lives of older adults. For more information on the Joe D. Sutton Call to Justice Awards, please visit the Call to Justice Awards website. Stay tuned for next year’s Call to Justice Awards.
