I was a legal extern for Elder Law of Michigan during my fall semester 3L year at Michigan State University College of Law. I could not be more thankful for my experience with the organization. Elder Law of Michigan allowed me to grow my skills as a lawyer by giving me real world experience handling client issues. The attorneys and supervisors on staff were supportive, helpful and really cared about the work that the organization performs.
Not only did this semester allow me to grow personally, but I was able to do so while performing work that helped out in the community. The clients I worked with through Elder Law were so thankful for the services we provided, which made coming to work very rewarding.
It was so wonderful to an active part of the community and to be part of such a collaborative and supportive organization. I have truly enjoyed my semester at Elder Law and I look forward to volunteering at Elder Law in the years to come.
