Thank you Southeast Michigan Senior Regional Collaborative!

by Natalie Pearce, Director of Economic Security

Southeast Michigan Senior Regional CollaborativeOn behalf of several Southeast Michigan MiCAFE partners, Elder Law of Michigan would like to thank the Southeast Michigan Senior Regional Collaborative for their generous donation.  With the donation of funding to purchase portable scanners for our partners, the MiCAFE Network Partners assisted an additional 30 seniors with food assistance benefits between May 5, 2016 and June 20, 2016.  This equates to more than $644 in food assistance per month for Detroit seniors, and the economic impact for the Detroit area exceeds $1,150 each month.

Elder Law of Michigan’s MiCAFE Network appreciates our ongoing relationship with the Southeast Michigan Senior Regional Collaborative and is particularly thankful for this donation. We know the scanner will assist our MiCAFE Network Partners in assisting thousands of seniors throughout the coming years.
